Elon Musk tweetstorm causes Tesla shares to crash

Elon’s done it again. After the Tesla and Space X CEO had been caught sending controversial tweets all week, this time he really put some words out there which caught investors off guard. We can only hope that the SEC doesn’t start another investigation.

Mr Musk tweeted that the Tesla share price was simply ‘too high’.

He then followed up with a manic twitter storm which included that the US government should ‘give people back their freedom’, that girlfriend grimes was ‘mad at me’ and that he would be ‘selling almost all physical possessions. Will own no house’.

The Tesla stock did not react too well and dropped 10% almost immediately.

The company’s stock was down more than 11 percent by about noon Eastern time, trading at about $693 from a morning opening of $755.

I personally kinda liked the ‘Rage, rage against the dying of the light of consciousness’ tweet, which is from a famous poem by Dylan Thomas, quoted multiple times in one of my favorite movies, Interstellar.
