Who’s the Bitcoin anime girl that Charles Hoskinson and Elon Musk tweeted?

Last week, Tesla founder Elon Musk went on a bizarre twitter-storm. The one tweet that is certain to get him into trouble with the SEC again is when he stated that the Tesla stock price was simply ‘too high’. The share price of his own company dropped instantly.

Musk followed-up with rants about his girlfriend being mad at him and wanting to ‘sell all his physical possessions.’

When the official Bitcoin account responded in zest that the ‘Bitcoin price was too low,’ Musk immediately recognized a good joke and retweeted the image that famously got him into trouble in 2018 of an anime girl representing Bitcoin.

Anime Bitcoin

Elon Musk stated ‘how much for some anime Bitcoin.’

This time round, twitter boss Jack Dorsey did not have to instruct his army of minions to lock Elon out of his account though, as everyone immediately understood he was joking.

Back in 2018, the billionaire founder of Tesla and SpaceX had stated “wanna buy some bitcoin?” and was subsequently locked out of his account as Twitter thought he had been hacked.

Given the many conundrums and tweetstorms that Musk has gone on since then, Twitter now knows that the Tesla founder does these kind of strange ramblings from time to time.

Cardano this time

Yesterday the anime Bitcoin girl popped up again, this time on the Twitter account of Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano and CEO of IOHK (Input Output Hong Kong). He wanted to celebrate the return of the $10k price tag for the most famous crypto.

For those of you that don’t know, the Bitcoin anime girl is part of the crypto-currency-girls website, which aims to link an anime girl to each of the most famous crypto coins.

As bitcoin is now up 40% for the year to date already and the depression of the stock markets is only going to get started when we realize the US unemployment number, we’re sure to see her again.
