US President Trump’s inner circle aims to stop the publication of a possibly very revealing book about the Trump family. The writer is President Trump’s only niece, Mary. The book should be published at the end of July and the US mainstream media is keen to reveal snippets of it as soon as possible.
The Washington Post, CNN and The New York Times are all keen to reveal in detail how the Trump family tries in a legal manner to stop the forthcoming publication.
Family secrecy agreements
According to Robert Trump, the president’s younger brother, Mary violates family secrecy agreements, The publisher meanwhile praises the book about the “poisonous” family as “dark history” of the family clan.
Publisher Simon & Schuster declared in a responding statement that “as the plaintiff and his attorney well know, the courts take a dim view of prior restraint, and this attempt to block publication will meet the same fate as those that have gone before.”
“In ‘Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man,’ Mary Trump has written a compelling personal story of worldwide significance, and we look forward to helping her tell her story,”
The book’s official website indeed states in full that the publication will show the “dark history of their family in order to explain how her uncle became the man who now threatens the world’s health, economic security and social fabric.”
Mary Trump is the only family member who wanted to reveal the truth about one of the most powerful and broken families in the world, the publisher said on his book website.
The US President’s younger brother, Robert S. Trump, explained that he was “deeply disappointed” by his niece’s decision to go ahead with the publication of her tell-all book.
“Her attempt to sensationalize and mischaracterize our family relationship after all of these years for her own financial gain is both a travesty and injustice to the memory of my late brother, Fred, and our beloved parents,”
“I and the rest of my entire family are so proud of my wonderful brother, the president, and feel that Mary’s actions are truly a disgrace.”
Meanwhile Mr Ted Boutrous, the lawyer representing Ms Mary Trump, claimed that any move by the White House was aimed to “suppress a book that will discuss matters of utmost public importance.”
“They are pursuing this unlawful prior restraint because they do not want the American people to know the truth. The courts will not tolerate this brazen effort to squelch speech in violation of the First Amendment.”
Paparazzi of British Tabloid newspaper Daily Mail this week successfully tracked down Mary Trump in the town of Brewster. When journalists asked her for commentary, she replied: there will be a time and a place. Have a great Day, Enjoy. It’s a beautiful spot.’
Mary Trump, a psychologist, spent much of her childhood in the grandparents’ house in New York, witnessing countless family gatherings and parties. She is the daughter of President Trump’s late brother Fred.
Recently, the Justice Department made a futile attempt to stop a book about President Trump from a former top adviser.
John Bolton, former Trump security adviser, lashes out at his ex-boss in his book published earlier this week. However, the most salacious story there was to find in the Bolton book about the Trump family was that former Defense Secretary Mattis ‘characterized the First Lady’s staff as a bunch of catty,
gossipy sorority types.’
Quite strange that Bolton refers to others as gossipy when that is all he does himself in his publication.
