Attorney Joe diGenova said Monday night on The Howie Carr Show on Newsmax radio: “Anybody who thinks the election went well,” he said, “like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity, that guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot.”
The presenter chuckled at his guest’s comment, but did not ask any follow-up questions.
Call for Violence
The call for violence provokes shocked reactions in American media. Not a single Trump employee went that far to express his dissatisfaction with the election. Violence is a line that has never been crossed, except for Trump’s ex-advisor Steve Bannon who believed that top virologist Dr. Fauci and the FBI chief should be beheaded for treason.
Both Trump and diGenova have not yet commented on the uproar. It is not inconceivable that Trump will tweet or say something about it later on Tuesday.
According to Trump himself, DiGenova is part of his regular team of lawyers. In mid-November, he praised him as a “great lawyer” fighting alongside Rudy Giuliani for Trump’s “right to fair and free elections.” DiGenova is still working with this defense team, according to a CNN source.
