Rita Ora Slammed On Social Media For Second Breach Of Covid Rules

Earlier this week British singer Rita Ora found herself in the middle of a scandal when it appeared she had organized a 30-person birthday party at a London restaurant last month, something which is not allowed under Covid restrictions in the UK. Furthermore, it now seems she broke the Covid rules multiple times that month as she had recently returned from Egypt where she performed for the president.

Ms Ora apologised when reports emerged this week about her birthday at a London restaurant last month. In the marketing message she sent out via Instagram and other social media channels she admitted having attended a 30-person birthday celebration.

However, according to British media today, that is not the only breach of Covid restrictions the singer could be held accountable for.

It has now also been found that the 30-year-old flew to Egypt in a private jet on 21 November to perform at the five-star W Hotel in Cairo, an appearance for which she was paid a six-figure sum.

The reaction of the British public today was swift and unforgiving.

She returned to England the next day and was required, as per government quarantine rules, to self-isolate for 14 days. However, this was the moment that Ms Ora attended her own birthday party at the Casa Cruz restaurant in Notting Hill, west London on 28 November – itself a breach of coronavirus restrictions for which she has previously apologised.
